Paramedics are the first people to arrive in a medical emergency. They provide emergency care in life-threatening situations, such as car accidents, heart attacks, or injuries.
They work in ambulances, response vehicles, and sometimes even helicopters, rushing to scenes where their skills can mean the difference between life and death.
The job requires physical and mental strength, as paramedics often work long, unpredictable hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
In South Africa, they also face unique challenges, such as working in areas with limited resources or responding to emergencies in high-crime zones.
