Digital Colourist

A digital colourist ensures that the colour on a film is the best it can be.

Once a piece of film is shot and edited the digital colourist works with special programs to enhance the appearance of the footage and match the colours on different scenes.
This is called the grade and makes a Historical drama look very different to a Wes Anderson film.

It’s almost like an instagram filter applied to film, but in a more sophisticated way.
